”I graduated from Ain Shams University Medical School in Egypt in 1999. I finished my higher surgical training at Ain Shams University Hospitals to be appointed as a Lecturer and Consultant in the Otolaryngology department. Towards the end of my training, I was awarded a prize scholarship from the Ministry of Higher Education during which I did my first head and neck surgery fellowship at St. Georges NHS Trust in London.

I enjoyed working in the NHS and decided to move back to the UK after finishing my exit exam in Egypt. I had further training in general adult and paediatric ENT surgery at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Trust before doing my second head and neck fellowship with special focus on thyroid and parathyroid surgery at Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool.

I manage a wide range of ENT conditions but my special interests are thyroid and parathyroid disease, as well as endoscopic nasal surgery. I believe in listening to my patients and involving them in deciding what is the most suitable management plan for them. I am committed to delivering the best quality of care and, as the clinical governance lead and head & neck cancer lead, believe I have contributed positively to the safety and quality of care patients receive at Mid Cheshire Hospitals.

Outside of work, I enjoy going out with friends, reading novels and spending quality time with my son and twin girls.”
